Three Types of Cloud
The cloud allows businesses to access their data and computing programmes via the internet. It means all your data including applications, emails and files can be stored in one place, rather than on an individual computer or server.
There are 3 different cloud computing models that can work for your business, depending on your requirements.
- Private cloud – services and IT infrastructure managed by you or a third party. A private cloud system is beneficial for businesses requiring higher levels of security or who hold sensitive data.
- Public cloud – services are stored and accessed over the internet and managed by an external company. The public cloud offers more flexibility and cost savings for businesses.
- Hybrid cloud – Combines both the public and private cloud systems to gain the benefits from each model. It allows businesses to store sensitive data on a more secure system, whilst using the public cloud for other applications such as emails to save on costs.
